Your priority date is the same as your husband's. It will be on your husband's I-140 approval notice.

Does anybody here got a rejection becuase of the incorrect filling fee?
If so can you share the message on the lette which was received along with the rejected application.
I have received a rejection letter for my spouse with the following message in it.
"The above application or petition, along with any check or other form of fee payment, is attached. The application or petition cannot be accepted because the proper fee of $1010.00 U.S is not attached. Since the case is not properly filed, a priority or processing date cannot be assigned.
Please attach a check or money order for this amount and resubmit this entire package to the address listed below. To speed processing, please leave this notice on top."
Can anyone confirm with me if they got the same message for incorrect filing fee? The message is very ambigious if the filling was incorrect or they did not find the filing fee attached with the application.
Please reply to this posting with the message they received for rejection of their application or if anybody has any information on this.

I filed for i-485 ON July 23rd along with the EAD and AP. My EAD got approved and got a RFE on AP. I haven't received my Finger Print notice yet. Will RFE on AP affect the FP?..
Is it normal that I haven't FP notice after almost closed to a month after the checks have been encashed?..
Any inputs are highly appreciated.

In CIR 2007 (S.1348) Title V, subtitle B is skill act of 2007 SEC.524 says about people with masters and higher degrees will not be counted against the numerical caps. This says it is amending Section 201(b)(1) (8 U.S.C. 1151(b)(1)) which is about the numerical caps. As this is in the section of backlog reduction does this mean that those who already are in the process and is backlogged will be given green cards out the numerical cap?

It was very good. One should have told that even kids of skilled immigrants are counted on the quota. (Even a 1 year kid is counted as an skilled immigrant)

I have a request / concern / what ever you would say.
Please do not cirtize if you do not like the idea, just ignore and leave the thread.
There are so many people comming to IV for other experts guidance on different things mainly on H1B status, AC21 status, AP, FP, EAD and H4 to EAD, .....
Why don't you create a general guide lines or rules or do's and don't or QA's for each topic, so that each member or visitor who come to IV can atleast go through them before asking or posting quesitons.
You can create a survery for different kinds of questions people / members / visitors might ask or have fore each topic before creating the thread so that we can have a pool of questions and answers for each topic from experts or attorney answered. (you might say we have recordings from attorney Prashanti Reddy, but it would be good if we have some thing which can be referred easily i.e., typed.
These are just some of my thoughts, it can or cannot be implemented. It depeneds on IV admins/Gurus/Experts on this forum.
Gurus, please provide your thoughts.

In normal circumstances (without the floodgates open) you would get a receipt within 2-3 weeks after the application is submitted. Fingerprinting happens soon after (still within a month). Then you get an EAD first, then the AP. In all this your lawyer will be informed as well as you. Sometimes your lawyer gets to hear first b4 you.

As per Spet 2009 visa bulletin, my PD will be current . I recently moved to LA due to Job change . If i do AC 21, do you think i will miss a oppurtunity of getting GC in spet since my PD is OCT 2004.
Please advise. Should i do AC21 now ? Or Should i do only on RFE?
Another question. I still have permanent address in chicago but moved to LA. Do i need to do AC11 form?

Are you married to a USC? If so, you have nothing to worry about. Do not travel until your GC is approved as AP is not 100% safe for people that overstayed.

I am in a very bad condition n would appreciate anyone who can advice me on same. I had been out of status for about 1 yr n 2 months following my denial of I 140 n expiration of H1b, n currently residing in US. Now i have a new approval for H1b from USCIS, a month back. I was instructed by my employer to go back to my native country n get approval from from the consulate n re enter US. My lawyer instructed that i will be barred at the consulate or at the airport due to the history of over stay in US upon re-entering . Is there any one who have heard experinces of this kind ever? plz share your knowledge... thanks
